Using the latest software technology, our expert team of engineers can produce precise drawings and designs, virtual shop floor layouts and even run virtual tests of new systems, designs and processes without the need for any physical equipment being installed.

The example video to the right shows a test run of a brand new bespoke I.Rob design of a strap cut.

The main systems we use include RobCAD, FactoryCAD and CATIA.
Please read on to find out a little more about what each of these systems allows us to do.

About RobCAD

RobCAD is a virtual simulation tool that allows us to create and test new robot systems and processes in a virtual environment. The main benefit of using this is that we can finalise all main details and complete test runs to identify any potential issues before fabrication begins.

CATIA (Computer Aided Three-dimensional Interactive Application) is our primary design software that can be used for CAD (Computer Aided Design), CAM (Computer Aided Manufature) & CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) and is what we use to produce both 2D & 3D designs, such as those shown below.

About FactoryCAD

FactoryCAD is a system used to create 3D layouts of a work area. This allows our design team to efficiently maximise the space available. We also use this facility to design improvements to existing areas, where we can identify potential for a much more efficient layout.
